Andrea M. Harvey, Esq.

Biography:

Andrea M. Harvey is a seasoned attorney and trusted advisor with over 15 years of legal experience. A fierce advocate for her clients, Andrea brings clarity and compassion to complex issues involving divorce, custody, and child support. While her role will focus in part on litigation matters- Andrea will also manage business development and marketing for the firm.

Before joining Pinay Law, Andrea held leadership roles in both practice and corporate real estate. As a Senior Leasing Manager at Walmart Corporate, she was responsible for strategic development and managing a complex millions+ real estate portfolio in Walmart stores in the North and Midwest regions. Her work in corporate real estate included launching several first-of-their-kind initiatives, including a Pet Services location, a Girl Scouts Dream Lab, and an in-store walk-in mammography center. These projects reflect her creativity, marketing abilities and business acumen. Andrea has a diverse professional background. She is able to see the full picture from both a business and legal perspective, while also leading with vision to impact change

For over a decade, Andrea owned and managed her own law firm, Harvey Law Office. She is widely recognized for her unique skills in business development and creative marketing within the legal field. During her time of private practice, she was able to produce and star in Harvey Law Speaks, a global podcast and Youtube series that demystified legal concepts for everyday people and became a go-to source for practical insight on divorce, custody and other matters. Andrea is known for her down to earth and relatable approach to complex legal concepts. Andrea was frequently featured as a legal commentator on television and radio, including appearances on nationally syndicated and local radio including, 106.3 and 1390 AM in Chicago.

Andrea is also an accomplished speaker who has inspired audiences across the country, including serving as a Commencement Speaker at Rasmussen College. She was most recently honored by the African American Alumni Association at Mercer University (her alma mater) for her contributions to the organization and Mercer University.

Andrea is extremely philanthropic and has served on the board at a Charter School as well as Polished Pebbles Girls Mentoring Program. Andrea currently serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia where she serves on the Finance and Real Estate committee. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Cook County Bar Association. Andrea has been an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc for almost twenty- five years and is currently a member of the Chicago Alumnae Chapter.

When she’s not practicing law, Andrea can often be found in the garden, creating content for her lifestyle brand, WindyCityPeach, or traveling. A proud Albany, Georgia native, she combines Southern charm with Chicago flair and has built a community around gardening, culture, and intentional living.

Andrea is a three-time author whose latest book, Harvesting Joy, empowers beginner gardeners to grow their own food and discover the joy that comes from nurturing something from seed to harvest. She believes growth—whether in the garden, in business, or in life—starts with having the courage to plant something new.

Andrea resides in Chicago with her husband and their two dogs, affectionately known as “The Harvey Boys.”
