Race Judicata 2025: Run for Justice with the Asian and Hispanic Bar Associations!

On August 14, 2025, members of the legal community and supporters gathered at 1746 N Stockton Dr, Chicago, IL 60614 for the much-anticipated Race Judicata, Chicago Volunteer Legal Services’ (CVLS) annual 5K run/walk fundraiser. This year’s tagline, “Run for Justice – Asian and Hispanic Bar Associations,” captured the spirit of unity, diversity, and dedication to equal access to justice.
A Community Coming Together
Race Judicata has long been recognized as the event of the year for Chicago’s legal community, bringing together attorneys, law students, bar associations, and community members to raise awareness and support for CVLS’ mission: providing pro bono legal services for the city’s poor and working poor.
Running, Walking, and Volunteering for Justice
With four staggered start times (4:45 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.), participants filled Lincoln Park with energy and enthusiasm. Volunteers played a crucial role—assisting with gear check, water stations, and guiding runners along the course. No prior experience was needed, as leads were on hand to ensure everyone had a meaningful experience.
Volunteers were also treated to a goody bag, T-shirt, and wristband (for those 21 and over), making the day both impactful and fun.
Why It Matters
At its heart, Race Judicata is more than just a run—it is a movement for justice. By participating, volunteers and runners alike help CVLS continue its vital work of coordinating, supporting, and promoting pro bono legal representation for those most in need.
Looking Ahead
The success of this year’s Race Judicata once again highlights the strength of the Chicago legal community when it comes together for a cause bigger than itself. As Pinay Law continues to stand alongside fellow Asian and Hispanic legal professionals, we remain committed to supporting efforts that ensure justice is accessible to all.
Until next year—let’s keep running for justice!
