Child-Related Expenses

In plain English: cost of the child(ren) outside of and in addition to child support — coverage for healthcare (health insurance), daycare or childcare, educational costs, and extra-curricular fees.

Why it matters for you: support and child-related expenses are separate categories with different calculations. Parents often share child-related expenses by agreement or by court order (for example, “extracurriculars split 50/50”).
